Remember the lantana from my previous post. Here's a closeup of one of the blooms. The yellow and orange are pretty together here too.

My orange daylilies are planted in this bed along with red bee balm and some other flowers. I planted them to screen the ugly green utility box. My neighbor thought Pampas grass would be a good idea....but I hate Pampas grass! When we lived in Texas, it was a wonderful hiding place for rattlesnakes. I've never liked it for that reason. Since the box is in the corner of MY yard, I got to do the landscaping......and it did not include Pampas grass! My neighbor even told me she liked what I had done.

Orange makes me think of Oklahoma State University - but I am University of Oklahoma fan...so orange is not a favorite color of mine either. But I do like my lilies that have that wonderful array of oranges in the blossom.
Stay cool this weekend.
Oh I love orange. It is my favorite color. I can not look and orange and not smile.
I would not chose orange either but wow, it does make a statement in the flowers that I love. I wish the day lilies grew here.
I remember Pampas grass in Texas. My husbands aunt had a big arrangement of it in her living room. Every time we went to her house, I left with congestion and feeling awful, sneezing a lot. We finally figured out it was her lovely Pampas grass.
Isn't that funny? I love orange in quilting! But green I tend to leave in the garden...
I never used to like orange but it is one of my favorites now. You're lucky to have a garden to inspire you.
Your flowers are very pretty.
I used to be like you and never use orange in my quilts but in the past few years they have found orange has been finding it's way into my quilts, both combined with earthtones, and combined with bright turquoise and now I love it.
